Great Steak Out a juicy success

39585369_2675596185799212_2079880231400767488_nOakland Schools Education Foundation’s (OSEF) first official fundraiser of the 2018-2019 school year was a rousing success, earning $13,000 which will go directly to supporting several Oakland Schools programs.

The Great Steak Out is one of OSEF’s many fundraising events to support all of the organization’s initiatives which include:

  • The Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association
  • Oakland Schools Scripps Regional Spelling Bee
  • Oakland County Outstanding Teacher of the Year
  • Scholarships for Success
  • Oakland County Support Person of the Year
  • Classroom Grant Program

OSEF’s main objective as a nonprofit charity is to support educational and enrichment programs offered by Oakland Schools.

At the Great Steak Out, Allan Kemp McMorris, president of Oakland County Credit Union, trustee and former president of OSEF, was recognized for his contributions. He served on OSEF from 2009 – 2018 and has been a true supporter of the students in Oakland County.
